The Survey & Valuation involves a detailed inspection by a Chartered Surveyor. The report format is concise, easy to read with standard headings and the minimum of technical jargon. It is less detailed and less costly than a comprehensive building survey.

It will provide you with advice as to:

  • Whether or not the property is a reasonable purchase at the agreed price.
  • General advice on any significant defects that may affect the value or safe occupation of the property. For example subsidence, dry rot or the possible presence of asbestos.
  • The report also provides a statement as to how much the property should be insured for.

The Report is designed for relatively modern properties of traditional construction and may be appropriate for small, late Victorian properties.
